Arnold Schwarzenegger Hate Gay People

Dustin Hawkins

In a move that sent the entire population of San Francisco into a state of mass hysteria, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said he is going to listen to the will of the people and veto a recently passed Gay Marriage bill.

By this account, Schwarzenegger is already a better Republican than George W. Bush. Not only is he listening to the will of the people by terminating the measure, but he is also going to use that crazy little thing we conservatives love called a “veto.” Meanwhile in Washington, we are still waiting for Bush to listen to what the people want on border enforcement and for him to give the pink slip to some superfluous bills. That Schwarzy consistently leaves militant leftists in a hyperventilating frenzy without apologizing is just icing on the cake.

California offers almost all the same rights to same-sex couples as it does to married ones, save the marriage certificate. So naturally this is the 1960's all over again. Schwarzenegger is compared to George Wallace, the segregationist Democrat. Maybe it’s even worse. The Holocaust perhaps. Yeah, I see the similarities.

Liberals react to democracy like rats react to poison. Each time they lose a ballot initiative through a purely democratic process, they are forced to face the shocking conclusion that average people just don’t agree with them. Convincing a couple hundred heavily-financed and special-interest persuaded legislators that something is a good idea is one thing, but convincing an entire state is a completely different matter.

No ideology has been so convincing in its inability to ever win an important ballot initiative as liberalism has. Proposition 22, which affirmed marriage between a man and a woman, was passed in California by over 61% of the vote. This is one of the most liberal states in America and the left can’t even manage a competitive race on it’s social platform. Less than a decade ago, their other big social issue, Affirmative Action, met its end in California with Proposition 209 forging it way to victory by a 10 point margin.

One final blow will be when Californians head to the polls to vote on Proposition 73, which requires parental notification for minors wanting an abortion. I couldn’t take aspirin without parental consent when I was 15, but according to liberals, high school freshman girls should be allowed to have abortions without their parents’ discretion. Only on the California legislature and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals does this sound like a good idea. But voters tend to see things differently. It will pass.

Liberals act as though they are the authority on being the voice of the people. But as soon as the people speak, liberals run around trying to find ways to shut them up. This overruling of the public is nothing new. When the biggest victory you can claim through a democratic voting process is how chickens are raised in cages, you better have a back-up plan. This back-up plan comes in various tyrannical forms such as Mayors like Gavin Newsom who systematically ignore the law, and the court system, which consistently translates the Constitution into meaning whatever is in the Democratic Party platform.

As far as liberals are concerned, 63 million votes for a President is not a mandate, a 61% vote against gay marriage means people actually want gay marriage, and constantly losing elections means it is their agenda that people are craving. Even when liberals lose they think they win.

Liberals hate the Republic and despise democratic ideals. It’s no wonder they oppose democracy in the Middle East, because they oppose it here, too. If things don’t go their way, they stomp their feet, insidiously compare their losses to some of the darkest tragedies in history, and try to get friendly courts and lawmakers to make things go their way. Leave issues to the people and liberals never win.
