Democrats Oppress

It mystifies me that people believe the Democrats are the party for the people. The Democratic Party oppresses people. Whether they force citizens to wear seat belts and motorcycle helmets, or they back law suits to bankrupt tobacco companies and gun manufacturers, or even go so far as prevent parents from educating their children at home, the Democrats take away our freedom. Some say safety and health trump all else, freedom dictates that is not true. With freedom comes responsibility but the Democratic Party doesn’t trust American’s with the latter so they strive to take away our freedom.

Recently the Democrats started using judges to pass their oppressive agenda because they know they fail at the ballot box. All around the country when citizens pass referenda to better their lives the Democrats go to court in attempt after attempt to overrule the will of the people. In the 1990’s Colorado passed a law allowing private businesses to hire and fire as they saw fit. The Democrats objected to this freedom and sued the state of Colorado. After years in the court system the U.S. Supreme Court eventually overturned the will of the people. Also in the 1990’s Californians overwhelmingly passed legislation that would prevent illegal immigrants from acquiring state benefits or public services. Democrats didn’t like the outcome at the ballot box so they sued and a Federal Appeals court overturned most of the law. Freedom comes with voting rights but when one party decides to supersede the will of the people through judicial activism one can only accept that Democrats oppress.

All creatures have a G-d given right of self defense. The founders of our Constitution understood the need for the People to have protection from an over reaching Government. These two facts lead to our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. For decades the Democrats have attempted to take this right away. Little by little, weapon by weapon, the Democrats encroach so greatly on our rights that soon they will be gone. CBS recently did a report on a man who runs a shotgun training facility in Pennsylvania. He said sport shooting always kept him on the straight and narrow and if his guns were taken away he would be a different person. The reporter stated that no one wanted to take away his weapons. That statement is false. “The Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2003” which would have banned a "semiautomatic shotgun that has a pistol grip” was co-sponsored by Democratic Presidential Nominee John Kerry. This law, if implemented as designed, would outlaw most shotguns on the market today. The Democratic Party even wants to take away the basic human right of self defense, nothing more defines oppression.

Nothing is for certain in life save death and taxes. With the Democrats in power they want more and more so they can control all citizens. With universal health care and total control over public education the Democrats can dictate how Americans are healed and how they learn. Democrats despise home schooling. Parents see the degradation of public education and want to keep their children at home for schooling. In California they now arrest parents for contributing to the delinquency of a minor if parents home school their children. Freedom comes with responsibility but the Democratic Party doesn’t seem to like this. With their drive to pay for cradle to grave entitlements they must raise taxes higher and higher. In the dark ages serfs only paid their land lords 1/3 of their property. Today a large portion of American’s pays at least 40%. What does it say about freedom when tax payers yearn for the dark ages?

Certain cities around the nation have outlawed spanking and impose mandatory child car seat laws. What more oppressive thing can a government do to its citizenry than dictate parental policy? As a father I want the authority to punish my children as I see fit. As a father I want to decide what’s safe for my child. Government should give suggestions that are a positive role; however, when suggestion turns to mandate the citizens suffer. Democrats back the laws that prevent parents from making their own decisions; these laws do not come from Republican law makers who believe in personal responsibility.

For those that want to vote for Democrats please know that you support oppressors. These men and women want to impose, by force (threat of imprisonment), seat belt laws, motorcycle helmet laws, gun prohibition, public school attendance, and any number of other anti-freedom legislation. I do not say this to scare people, I saw this as fact. Denial is not just a river in Egypt and anyone supporting Democratic lawmakers that do not see the overwhelming oppression are blind to reality.
