Liberal News Media May Have WMD's

Kaye Grogan

Forget the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq...there are WMD’s in the liberal news media. If people don’t do what they say and want, they are involved in a massive conspiracy to destroy them. Presidential hopeful Howard Dean, is a perfect example of how the destruction process begins and ends. Dean is now referred to as the “screech” man, while many see news media co-conspirators as a “lynching” mob.

Whatever happened to just reporting the news? News media conglomerates have analysts to come on and tell the American people how to do everything from how to vote, to what kind of macaroni they should buy. There is no doubt about it...television is a formidable tool to “brainwash” people. Gone are the days of just entertainment. The Fox news channel constantly rejoices in the fact, they are fair and balanced. On whose scale? On the other hand, CNN news, has always “blatantly” showed their biased nature. They stack the deck against conservatives by a margin of 3-1, with their liberal favorites. Trying to watch “Crossfire” is about like reliving the horror of childhood neighborhood bullies...especially with hosts like James Carville.

No wonder Howard Dean is screeching, who wouldn’t be, with all the sharp pitchforks stabbing him in the seat of the pants? After all is said and done in the quest for the Democratic nomination, maybe Dean should look at investing some money in a television news station and having a heyday with his political opponents. His ranting would really get on their nerves then.

Getting back to the liberal news media’s weapons of mass destruction, weapons don’t always have to be in the form of bullets, bombs, missiles, etc., to be just as deadly. There seems to be a movement on to try and verbally destroy those who try to stand for things that are right. What has happened to the United States? This is something that everyone needs to ask themselves. Is it any wonder there are unseen forces working diligently to ruin the credibility and reputations of good people, creating a vacuum, to demolish them?

Most people I talk to, are getting disillusioned with the whole system. But even worse, these same people seem to be giving up. Of course it’s difficult to re-establish fortitude when everything seems so bleak. They know instinctively it’s a dog eat dog world. Few desire to even be involved with politics anymore. When statistics show only about 29-30 percent of eligible voters are voting, something is definitely wrong somewhere.

One of the worst practices of the news media is the “exit polls” tabulations. Fox news projected that Senator John Kerry had won in the New Hampshire primary with less than 14 percent of the polls reporting. Evidently, they don’t like cliffhangers or the plot thickens scenarios. Some of the news commentators accompanying the Democrats, looked like they had swallowed the canary, as they announced Senator Kerry would be down shortly to accept the win in New Hampshire. Kerry should thank his lucky stars... because so far, he has not had to dodge too many bullets from the liberal news media, but on the other hand...poor Dean seems to have been hit so many times, he’s beginning to look like a big crater impacted him. If Dean is not on Prozac already, maybe he needs to consider the possibility, to counterattack the liberals’ "weapons of mass destruction" hits on him.
