It didn’t take long to figure out someone from the Democratic camp was behind crying foul and protesting the ad showing some of the tragic events of 9/11. Never mind President Bush, along with Mayor Rudy Giuliani, were a "consoling" driving force during one of the darkest periods in America’s history. It’s okay for Hillary Clinton to construct a demagogue for her few listeners and espouse untruths about how her husband Bill Clinton built up the military and how the current president should give him the credit for the military action in Iraq, but don’t anybody praise or give any credit to President Bush for a job well done. One minute these people are tearing Bush to shreds for the actions in Iraq and the next, they are trying to take the credit. Geez! Whether one wants to face up to this reality...we are in a political war The only difference between the political war and the Hatfields and McCoys...the politicians are using destructive underhanded tactics, as opposed to firing high powered rifles. Who knows, maybe that’s next. Either way, it is not good for the country...with all of this political bickering.
If President Bush thinks his plea of “let’s play fair” directed at Senator John Kerry is going to wash or take wings, he can prepare for a rude awakening. The Democrats don’t know how to play fair...in fact, it’s not even in their vocabulary or consideration. The president has bent over backwards to win over Senator Ted Kennedy, but he might as well plow into a rock wall going about 250 miles an hour. Kennedy lives and breathes liberalism ideology. When Kennedy endorsed Kerry as president...he left no stone unturned bashing Bush.
It has become common practice to ante up the political pot anyway funds can be secured. We hear about reforming the campaign finance system. But so far, it’s all talk. Why has running for political office become so money oriented? Well, for starters...money buys votes or cigarettes for the homeless, to jump into a voting booth and pull down the Democratic lever.
Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrendous and the war in Iraq is ugly, but necessary. President Bush is to be commended for his unwavering stance on fighting terrorists and what they stand for. Although, John Kerry supported the unilateral war in Kosovo under the Clinton administration (without the blessings of the United Nations), he has nothing but criticism for President Bush for the Iraqi war. Good grief...this man flip-flops worse than a chicken that's just been slaughtered for the dinner table. If Kerry is so anti-war...how in the world is he going to make an informed decision about war...if the occasion arises? And is he going to bring all of the troops home from Iraq before the mission is completed, if by chance he is president?
Since “ethnic cleansing” and “genocide” were prevalent against the Albanians under the leadership of Slobodan Milosevic...and used as the prime reason to invade Kosovo, how does the slaying of the Iraqi people at the hands of their brutal leader Saddam Hussein differ? The hypocrisy here cannot go unnoticed by anyone who has a pea-sized brain, much less those who were directly involved with the conflict.
The group Peaceful Tomorrows needs to be investigated thoroughly and see who and what is really behind these anti-war and anti-Bush slogans. If John Kerry beats President Bush in the election in November...it should be done aboveboard. If Teresa Heinz Kerry is directing the allocation of money from a tax-exempt organization to fund these destructive ads...she should be held accountable. It’s time for all to be held accountable in this country...period. We gotta start somewhere...it might as well start in the Kerry campground.
