Fear is good. When one is mortally threatened, fear is the sole instinct that can make the difference between living and dying. This natural phenomenon must drive our understanding of the importance of the upcoming November Congressional elections. In short, if Republicans win, we live and if not, you know the rest. This article is for those uncertain about what the rest could mean. Neo-leftist Democrats and their willing media accomplices blissfully point to a Democratic win. Unfortunately, if they win we will be in mortal danger.

There are three existential policy differences that profoundly delineate Republicans from Democrats – the world war against Islamist fascism, the economy and the federal judiciary. The most crucial is the world conflict with the forces of Islamist fascism. Since shortly after September 11, 2001, the neo-leftist Democratic Congressional leadership and constituency has consistently and vehemently resisted supporting American military efforts to defeat the Islamist enemy. While some Democrats pay lip service to the Islamist threat, the vast majority do not comprehend that we are in WWIII.

Democrats advocate cutting defense funding and withdrawing from the conflict, e.g., the Iraqi theater of war, insuring American defeat. In that hope, al Qaeda, the Iranian Mullahs and their malevolent sycophants are sharpening their long knives. And let us be perfectly clear, they wish to conquer the world and reduce humanity to a pre-modern existence replete with women in face and body shrouds and medieval torture and execution of Jews, Americans and all unwilling to bow to tenth century Islam.

Conversely, the Republican Congress has acted decisively to the mortal danger posed by Islamist fascism. Since September 11th the Republican President and Congress have seriously wounded the Islamist monster. The Taliban, bin laden and al Qaeda have been grievously degraded. Saddam Hussein and his Iraqi Islamist fiefdom have been destroyed.

But the war is far from over. Al Qaeda continues to desperately recruit from the vast ranks of the primitive hordes of the Middle East, Pakistan and other third world frontiers. The mad Iranian President is predicting and striving to perpetrate a nuclear Islamist Armageddon. Nuclear armed North Korea and oil rich Venezuela have become Islamist allies and open enemies of the U.S. These realities require American political leadership committed to the defeat of the Islamist Nazis and their fellow travelers. The Republicans have proven their worth in this historic struggle. The Democrats have failed.

The second crucial policy difference is the economy. Since September11th and the simultaneous dotcom stock market crash, the economy swooned close to depression. But due to the can do American entrepreneur, consumer and lower tax burdens championed by the Republican Congress it has recovered to remarkable levels. Growth is strong, unemployment is low and inflation is minimal. And we cannot underestimate the importance of a strong American economy in defeating the Islamist enemy.

Again, this is in no small degree due to the Republican Congress delivering lower taxes. If Democrats take control they will assuredly increase tax and regulatory burdens tilting into global recession. In addition to grievously damaging America and the free world, serious economic weakness would enable the Islamist fascist enemy to falsely blame the U.S. and the West for all socio-economic deprivation and poverty. This vile propaganda would be used in their recruitment efforts.

The final critical difference between Republicans and Democrats regards the federal judiciary. The U.S. courts play the decisive role in whether major legal rulings are based on a traditional profile of American jurisprudence as defined by the Constitution or become binding laws dictated by personal judicial opinions not defined by the Constitution therefore codifying all manner of ideological whim. These impositions of judicial hubris include, but are certainly not limited to, the propagation of irrational moral relativism, utopian anarchic multi-culturalism and suicidal pacifistic appeasement of Islamist fascism or any existential threat to the U.S. The result is national moral identity crisis seriously threatening the survival of the American Republic.

Within the next two years there will be multiple openings on the Supreme Court. If Republicans are in charge they will appoint justices who, by understanding the proper limited role of the judiciary guided by the Constitution and not the individual ideologies of judges, will guide the federal courts to correctly determine the constitutionality of legislative and appellate court rulings. They have already shown their credibility by appointing two reasonable constitutional judges to the Supreme Court – John Roberts and Sam Alito. Democrats bitterly opposed them. Contrary to Republicans, Democrats will appoint judges who will impose personal ideology free of constitutional restraint.

When neo-leftist Democrats have a serious chance of capturing Congress, especially in a time of war, Americans are surely facing a crisis of national character and survival. This indicates a pathological strain of cultural moral uncertainty. We have forgotten or no longer believe Abe Lincoln’s admonition regarding American exceptionalism as the last best hope. The neo-leftists controlling the Democratic Party certainly do not believe it.

Indeed, they define American culture as morally equivalent to all others. So an Islamist nation imposing slavery on women, persecuting non-Muslims and sympathizing with genocide in the name of religion is merely a different culture no worse than America. After all, who are we to judge? Democratic Party moral relativism is the pavement on the road to hell. Their neo-leftist ideology cannot be allowed to dictate national security.

Republicans are far from perfect but have distinguished themselves regarding their commitment to achieving victory against Islamist fascism, supporting a world guiding economy and promulgating American liberty and values. Republicans must retain Congressional power to protect America and the free world from anarchy and tyranny. We must reclaim our heritage of defending liberty and vote accordingly.
