Death Wish: The Silent Hopes of America’s Radical Liberals

Make no mistake about it: many of America’s rabid liberals want Harry Whittington dead.

The 78-year-old lawyer who was accidentally peppered with a load of bird shot from Vice President Dick Cheney’s 28-gauge shotgun last Saturday while hunting quail in Texas had a minor heart attack Tuesday, but to the chagrin of many in the Democratic Party, survived that event as well.

Muslims are still perishing at the hands of their fellow Muslims because of the Prophet Muhammed cartoon debacle. US-flagged restaurants and hotels abroad are being attacked by savage Muslim terrorists while Democrat extremists wear ghoulish grins and rub their hands together like demented praying mantises.

And in Australia, the notorious SBS network, with purely coincidental timing I am sure, showed previously unseen photographs of prisoners at Abu Ghraib apparently being humiliated, taunted and frightened by guards.

The wild-eyed left wants Whittington dead, more Muslims to die in cartoon riots and more attacks on American troops by terrorists upset with the new Abu Ghraib photos because such deaths further their twisted, anti-freedom cause. They feed on carnage, knowing that the more people die, the more Americans will come to believe that freedom for Muslims is an unrealistic concept that should be allowed wither on the vine of democracy and human rights.

To be blunt, there’s nothing Hillary, Kennedy, Gore, Dean, Reid and the gang want more than the vice president to be forced to resign because he accidentally shot someone to death. If Whittington succumbs, these anti-freedom liberals will publicly say how tragic the whole affair is, while behind closed doors they will guffaw and perform “high fives” for the opportunity Vice President Cheney provided them with. They smell a bit of Whittington’s blood in the political waters and want more of it. A lot more. I mean, he is 78, so he has already passed his life expectancy. Plus he is a Republican and a major donor to the Republican Party. He is also pro gun and hunts animals. To those running the Democratic Party, these reasons alone are more than enough to want him dead.

Each time a video clip airs showing Muslims rioting and killing because of the cartoons, far left-wingers drool with demented anticipation and glee. The way they see it, the greater the violence in the Muslim world, the greater the chances of their party gaining ground in November. They will continue to use this violence as political leverage, knowing that American society is too unfocused and undisciplined to tolerate war for more than a few months, regardless of the possible payoff.

And “down under,” the anti-freedom crowd at SBS has again placed more freedom forces at risk by intentionally inflaming Muslim anger. Liberal American newspapers, web sites, magazines and blogs will now run the photos to help spread the word that the US military is pure evil and that Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Halliburton were in fact behind Abu Ghraib.

I’m guessing most Americans know what the leaders of the Democratic Party are really thinking. We’ll see in November.
