Frustrations of a Divided America--Why and How is it Happening

Lee Ellis

I get letters from many people who feel frustrated that so many people here in America do not understand the dangers facing our country and culture from our stated enemies

Why and how is this happening, I have been asked? Let me try to explain

Jujitsu is the art of using the opponent's strength to give the weaker one the leverage needed to floor the opponent. Thus, our enemies have adapted this to use our "rights" as Americans, whether our rights in the courts of law or our rights for freedom of speech, to allow them to get way with treasonous activities with no fear of being stopped. "Political Correctness" is a part of this as is the redefining of the words "tolerance" and "judgment."

Many military battles have been replaced by propaganda labeled as news, which is a successful technique only because of the lowering of standards on everything for which America stands, especially education, where so many people today have no concept of history, civics or even how our government is formed. No wonder it is so easy to get many people today to believe what they read or hear from the Islamic or Socialist movements or from naïve people financed by them such as Cindy Sheehan or Michael Moore.

Add to this the attacks on the Judeo-Christian religion and the efforts of far-left organizations such as the ACLU, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Americans for Democratic Action, and hundreds of other left-wing groups all with Apple-Pie names, who want to drive all mention of God out of all public places.

Socialism has become more dangerous than Communism as far as America is concerned. The Fabian Socialists, who started in England, were more realistic than other socialists. They knew it was much easier to subvert sons, daughters and wives of prominent and well-to-do than it was to impress laboring classes. They also realized that socialist movements sprang from middle and upper classes - not from the proletariat.

Dan Smoot wrote, "Since the end of WWI, communists and other socialists have worked harmoniously together for their common cause - by setting up fronts with names and stated purposes which appeal to the reformist, uplifting urge of do-gooders. The deception enabled socialists to draw Americans with respected names into socialist fronts. It also created a tremendous lobby for unconstitutional federal programs. Socialists and communists support federal programs which require taxing and spending by the federal government, in defiance of constitutional limitations, because this gives them appeal as advocates of welfare for the downtrodden."

Antonio Gramsci told his Socialist followers in the late 30s to conquer America, not by fighting in the streets but by infiltrating its churches, schools and politics. Although he died in 1938, his followers over the decades obeyed his dictates and successfully infiltrated many of these venerable institutions.

As a result, today you have a professor of Latin-American studies hired by Columbia University who has stated publically that he hates America, that it is an imperialistic country, and that patriotism is comparable to white-supremacy. Professor Nicholas de Genova is now quoted on Fox News as saying that there should be hundreds of Mogadishus. In other words, he wants more of our American troops slaughtered!

Then you have the tenured Socialist professors in most of our prominent universities. Among them is the infamous Ward Churchill at Boulder. These universities rely on our tuition dollars and tax-deductible donations to exist, which they then use to propagandize our children who then, in turn, use their inheritance to promote new leftists groups. The Fabians were correct in knowing which group would finance Socialism. Re the infiltrations of churches, does one have to look further than the leftist actions of National Council of Churches with Bob Edgar as head of it?

Has the media also been infiltrated? I don’t know. But, it does seem to me that many of the main-stream newspaper and TV network people do promote leftist principles and go all out to drag down President Bush and his administration. Just as a famous newspaper group promoted Hitler back in the late 30s and in 1940, we have many of our present-day media promoting the rights of terrorists over the rights of American war policies. Some research has also stated that many college students become reporters because they want to help change the world from what they have been taught is its evil control by wicked governments and corrupt capitalistic corporations.

I am just thankful that conservative radio talk shows along with comparable internet news sites, such as this one, offer another view of the world other than that now being preached by so many Far Left forces and institutions of education.

How do we fight this frustration? We stop financing colleges that promulgate socialist theory instead of the classic education of yore, and we no longer advertise in any media whose sole purpose seems to be the destruction of the capitalistic system that made America the main reason why so many people want to emigrate here from other shores.

Finally, we cast our votes based on homework to discover which candidates are really for American values, as opposed to basing our votes on sound bytes or who is the better speaker or actor in a TV debate. Remember, many great past presidents or current top CEOs would not have done well on TV. The sharpest speakers are also known as "con-artists." We need genuine sincere leaders who are not afraid to make tough decisions. President Bush has fit this mold perfectly. End your frustration knowing that America is safer when we have a fighter for a President rather than an appeaser!
