Why America is moving towards the Far Left

Lee Ellis

Many people who love America and the values that it has established over the years have written to me showing great concern about the sudden spiraling down of our nation and asking how this came to pass.

Yes, it is sad, but Uncle Sam is to blame. The Socialists did say, thanks to the teachings of Antonio Gramsci, that the only way to conquer America was not to battle in the streets, but to infiltrate our schools, universities and churches. Do this and this country would fall. Well, the Socialist followers of Gramsci did do this over the past decades with many of our proud institutions and thus we have universities that have produced lawyers and journalists who now help sell the ideals of the far left. The organization known as "National Council of Churches" seems to aid and abet them.

In addition, Socialists learned that they could help lower the standards of education and morality. This would allow them to drive religion out of the country and create a public that lacked knowledge of history, geography or civics and thus be easily manipulated by liberal media.

And do you know what? Uncle Sam sat back and let them do this after WWII ! Uncle Sam (Americans and their government) was taught by those Socialist dominated schools and churches to always tolerate everything, that we were all equal, that we should never judge others and that we had to learn to accept other philosophies of life, including those of other countries in Europe and around the world. Even our courts used European Constitutions to try to color and change ours. Our Supreme Court also took over some of the duties of the Legislative branch; it even stopped the presidential use of the line item veto, thus building our deficit. And our Congress weakened the Presidency.

We have let some Socialists get elected to Congress; we have also let them infiltrate Hollywood, replacing great American actors and directors who fought for this country in WWII and who made great patriotic films to help us win that war. Now the films, including TV dramas, are produced and acted by Leftists. This entertainment has helped put across the Socialist (and Communist) messages to Americans, has lowered youth standards of behavior and responsibility, and has helped the terrorist regime come close to defeating us.

Yes, America's conservatives are losing the war of public relations and communication without realizing that verbal and mental ammunition is far stronger and more deadly than the bombs and bullets of all other wars. While we won against Saddam Hussein though our military power, the terrorists have admitted that they have been able keep Iraq unstable though fear and strong use of the media ---theirs and ours!

Hitler and Castro took over their countries with hypnotic words. Now we are losing our battles because we let our children be taught by our own "Madrassas." We were so naive that we actually financed this education with high tuitions from our own wallets or purses as well as with American taxes!

Other countries, such as India, are having similar problems as this new form of warfare escalates outdoing the old form of bullet warfare.* A combination of terrorism and verbal manipulation through schools, universities, churches, media and entertainment work as a unit to mix fear and brainwashing together to conquer nations in this new century.

The frightening part of this is that once these verbal bombs land amongst us and are then disseminated by television, radio and newspapers, many of our people are infected and, in turn, become deadly carriers of this disinformation to others via word-of-mouth at coffee breaks in the workplace, letters to the liberal press and e-mail on the internet. This virus also shows its results in the voting booths. We almost saw Gore or Kerry win the presidency in the elections of 2000 or 2004.

The intensity of this plague has increased to the extent that we may see our beloved Republic turn into a plain democracy in 2006 and a socialist nation in 2008. With the polls now showing that the seesaw has tilted in favor of the Left, is it too late to save our nation? Not if we, who love what our forefathers founded, emulate the American spirit at Concord that fired the shot heard ‘round the world.

This proud spirit can spread and counteract any leftist propaganda if we really make an effort to show it and get others to do so, too. But -- we are running out of time. The 2006 elections are just around the corner and we are now staring at the Socialist preparation to take over our nation in 2008.

Can we really wake up to what is happening to us and once again build up our grass roots to take back our nation? Can you speak up? Can you write letters? Can you meet with your representatives?

Can we save this Republic of ours? We shall soon have this answer!
