NIE VS Bush- Terrorist Strategies Not Recognized by our Leaders

Lee Ellis

When is a news story really "news" and when is it really "politics" at its worst? The following story, which is all over the news now, is another example of how some insider Bush-haters use so-called news to cast political stones at Bush and the Republicans.

Here is what the NIE (National Intelligence Estimate) report, representing a consensus view of 16 disparate spy services inside government, supposedly reveals, according to just one intelligence official. The official, confirming accounts first published in Sunday's New York Times and Washington Post, spoke on condition of anonymity because the report is classified. "The report found that the war has helped create a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept.11 attacks".

Already, Teddy Kennedy and the usual suspects in the Democrat party are jumping all over this, using it as an excuse to push their "cut and run" policy on the Iraq war.

But wait a minute, isn't this the same as saying that all cancer patients have drunk milk during the past three years, therefore, milk is the primary cause of cancer?

C'mon, Let us not let the public swallow this garbage right before election. If Saddam were still in power, feeding, fueling and financing terrorism, don't you think that there would be an even greater number of terrorists? In addition to the training fields in Iraq, there would be madrasahs and recruiting stations galore! Remember, these "new" terrorists supposedly caused by our war in Iraq had to have started years ago to complete the training, probably while Saddam was in power!

These new generations do NOT come because we are helping Iraq find freedom; they come because children are being taught hatred and the glory of pleasing Allah from day one! The schooling is not as it is here in America; rather it is hours of learning the importance of killing infidels, especially American Christians and Jews, and of the better world that awaits them if they die as martyrs in fighting these other nations of "crusaders."

Approximately every ten years, the schools graduate new generations of terrorists ready to kill and be killed. This is not just in Iraq; it is true for most of the Middle East!

And it is also true that the Wahabis have been buying property here in the US to build their own schools. Between those and the fact that Socialist professors have tenure in just about all our US Universities, is there any wonder about the mindset of many of the students graduating from our colleges? I am no longer amazed at how many parents tell me that they cannot understand why their college-graduated sons and daughters, who now have high-paying business careers, have become such strong liberal Democrats or even Far-Leftists. Well, guess who taught them how to think while in that expensive college?

Our enemies in the Middle East have learned three important ways to win the current war and those of the future.

1. Use terrorism on civilians to frighten them and to break down their resolve. It is the civilian population that controls the actions of most politicians through polls and votes. It worked in Spain and it appears to be working here in the US!

2. Control the media to better distribute propaganda so as to further manipulate the civilian population and also lower morale of their troops. Let Americans think they are still under the Geneva Convention rules of past wars. Convince them, also, that they should treat all captured Islamic jihadists as they do prisoners under the rule of law rather than war. Terrorists would love to dominate our prisons, since they are now finding them such fertile grounds for recruiting.

3. Infiltrate American schools, colleges and political organizations to retrain as many youth as possible so that new generations sympathize with the Middle East problems and regard their own country as an imperial nation, interested only in dominating the world to gain control of oil and other riches.

These three combined strategies might win a war without having to fight in battlefields as had been in WW Wars I and II.

There will be a fourth strategy added to the other three in the future. This will happen when the terrorists have access to nuclear bombs. With only a few of these, they will be able to wipe Israel off the map with one attack, and cause America, they think, to surrender when the same happens to New York or one other major American city.

Can we win this type of war? Only if our political leaders and the American people can really accept this new type of war and really understand how they are being manipulated by these current terrorist strategies. As President Lincoln said in 1858, "A house divided against itself cannot stand."
